Below is a full list of modules that are included in this course. Each module includes a self test which you can take online to test your readiness in preparation for the final exam.

UNIT A1.0 Principles of a Wildlife Safari Guide

8 tutorials — As a WIldlife Safari Guide you are an ambassador to Zambia. You will be the first person they will meet on their arrival - It is important to ensure that their trip is truly enjoyable. Their safety is important in dangerous wildlife areas.

UNIT A2.0 First Aid

6 tutorials — The safety of the clients is the responsibility of the guide; therefore it is also the responsibility of the guide to be well versed in the procedures of first aid. It is vital to do a First Aid course with an accredited First Aid company. The Bedrock First Aid modules are NOT an accredited First Aid course.

The most likely medical problems that a guide will encounter in the field are insect bites and stings, dehydration, and minor cuts and wounds. However, a guide should always be prepared to handle larger medical emergencies, like snakebites, heat stroke, larger injuries or wounds and other more serious medical conditions.

Your main concern as a guide in an emergency is to take charge, remain calm and make the person as comfortable as possible by treating their symptoms as best you can and, if required, either getting a doctor to them or them to the doctor as soon as possible.

9 tutorials — A reptile is a cold blooded animal with a back-bone (Vertebrate) which includes the class of Snakes, Lizards, Crocodiles, Chelonians terrapins, turtles and tortoises.

UNIT A4.5.6 Animal Behaviour in Various Organisms

1 tutorials — Group Behaviour and Communication is an interesting topic which describes the variations and why animals differ in their behaviour.
